Fruits And Vegetables - Grandma Leachs Fruitcake
My grandmother and mother made these cakes for years. They are moist but don't contain eggs. Applesauce is the secret ingredient. I sold these at bake sales for years and we had many customers who returned every year just to get one.

Side Dish - Grandma Reids Stuffing
The addition of chopped apples and browned sausage are what make this bread stuffing unique. This recipe yields enough dressing to stuff a 10 to 12 pound turkey.
Herbs And Spices - Tomato And Mozzarella Bites
A great way to serve tomato mozzarella salad. Great presentation. Always a hit. You can find the bite-sized mozzarella at most supermarkets. If they are on the larger side, cut them in half.

Soups Stews And Chili - Beer Sausage
Home cooked comfort food of potatoes, carrots, smoked sausage, and cabbage, all simmered in beer. It's a one-pot meal that past generations always enjoyed.
Pasta - Salad Stuffed Shells
Stuffing jumbo pasta shells makes a cute way to dress up a simple salad of romaine, salami, cucumber, and tomato.

Desserts - Dutch Apple Pie With Oatmeal Streusel
A spiced, sugared and delicious apple filling is spooned into a frozen crust, topped with aluminum foil and baked. Mid-way through baking, a streusel top is sprinkled on and the pie continues to bake until the apples are tender and the streusel is golden brown.
Bread - Sweet Corn Bread 2
This corn bread goes well with just about anything. I always make it when we have chili. The sour cream makes it nice and moist.
Side Dish - Greens With Cannellini Beans And Pancetta
This is a forgiving recipe, and a great way to get your greens! Kale is cooked with onions and garlic, a small amount of pancetta or bacon, and cannellini beans to make a great main dish for two or side dish for 4 or more.
